Since it was built for WordPress, it works very smooth and installs just like a regular plugin.

I’m certainly a little biased (since we built it) but if you are looking to turn WordPress into a membership site then it’s definitely something you’ll want to take a look at.

Blatant plug and a little late I know but John you might find Your Members might be right what you are after its a Wordpress Membership plugin but it has two major improvements over the majority of the competition 1) it actually works 2) It is being actively developed. This combined with some unique features might make it worth checking out for you. Hi Gobala,

You probably know by now that wpboard is unavailable, and Matt Ng has withdrawn the tutorial accordingly. Problem is I already had it and am part way into my plans for a paid membership site using WP, so….. do you know any other cheap/free plugins that will do the job?
