See the face Plugin

Wordpress is a bloggers paradise when it comes to the availability of plugins we can use. I came across this great plugin while browsing the net and thought it a cool idea for Wordpress users. The Site Clip Plugin will allow you to power your website with video and more. The plugin provides a seemingly great and easy way to integrate video into any blog, website, social networking profile and more.

Key features:

  • Function-rich video recorder (various settings, sizes)
  • Fully customizable player (color, skin)
  • Absence of any form of advertisement
  • Video filters
  • Easy integration with your website and users-database
  • Ability to save video files on your server
  • Your website Logo/Watermark

It is as easy as 1-2-3 to record and place a video on your site/blog and with the popularity of videos these days I believe that services as this one will only get more utilized by bloggers and website owners worldwide. Video on our sites is part of the future and the sooner you become acquainted with it, the better it will be.

You can use video for personal branding and I’m actually planning to do this myself on a good hair day on my own blog. What better way for your visitors to get to know you as a human being and not just some typing maniac than seeing you in video. It is the second best thing to meeting you live I believe.

For business professionals who sell products online, video offers a way to demonstrate the products to a potential client. This can now easily be done with this plugin. The fully customizable size will allow you to integrate it just about anywhere on the site.

Companies looking to hire workers can showcase their work environment to a potential employee via video. The proof is in the pudding as they say and if one can see that others are happy at work, it will be a win win situation for both parties involved.

Use video for tutorials to establish yourself as the leader within your industry. Seeing is believing.

Social Networking sites all provide some sort of platform to put your profile. Why not use video too?

On the negative side one would have to think about the bandwidth usage while using video. It will chew a lot more bandwidth and if the site receives a lot of traffic from visitors, then this could become a potential problem for those who have only basic hosting. The upside is that this can easily be rectified by upgrading to a bigger plan.

Note: This Plugin is free initially, but after 50 videos have been uploaded I believe, there will be a cost associated with it.

Hi Semmy.name,

This plugin is just one of many. Whether you want to use it or not is totally up to you. There are others who offer video and those are free.

Thanks for your comment

Hi Gobala,

I certainly agree with you that video will play a bigger and bigger part on the Internet.

Now is the time to learn to use it. I appreciate you telling us about this plugin. I will certainly give it a try.

Thanks again.

Speaking of video usage, here is just one example (and it is a pretty interesting one I should say) of how video could be used. – http://jednang.com/

Hi John,

did you mean using it as a VLog?

That’s been done before if that is what you mean. It will however be part of future blogging more and more I think.
