How to post with pictures in this forum - Part 2

Continue from Part 1 ...

(B) Upload to free image hosting website & paste the image url into forum

There are many free image hosting service available, I will take image shack, xs.to, tinypic & imagehosting.com. I will use image shack here as example.



Step 1: Select upload file

Step 2: Click on Browse .. button to key in your file location.

Step 3: Type in the your email address to register upon upload (then check your email for your registration link).

Step 4: Tick both Resize image & Remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail?

Step 5: Select Host it! button to upload.



Step 6: Once you finished the process, you will see a page with few links option provided. Copy the url address in Direct Link.




Step 7: Write A new thread or post reply, select Insert Image

Step 8: Paste the url address into the box. Press OK

That's it! You are done.

I trust you will self-manage the pictures you intends to upload in this forum and I hope it will not be an abuse of using this feature.

good tutorial.

one note: i am a little concerned abt giving outbound links to 3rd party webservices like flickr or photobucket, so i normally host the images in my own hosting account.

i like the feeling of control!
