Hello all, just like to know more people here who are working with wordpress and get some comments and advices here and there. Exchanges of ideas would be good, and we all can share some good resources that most of us here would need it .. Great forum! Like to hear more about you ppl out there ! I am currently 21, Singaporean male.. currently an undergraduate .

Welcome to join this forum. I think most of the members here are working on Wordpress blog, so you will get benefits from participation here.

Do you mind to iron out your thoughts and ideas? Seems like I am not sure what do you need here. Share it out so that many of us can assist you.

I started to be on this internet playground earlier this yr around in july, with the idea of making more allowance for myself on the internet.. I started to sign for free ezine , and do alots of reading regarding on making money on the internet, but then till now ,i am still feel like a lost sheep, not know which area is best for me to make some money. There then i came about niche marketing, which allows bloggers to blog on niche topic, which maybe their area of interest too, so i think this would be a better "work" since you will be able to read more and share more on topic of your interest.. Since now is my sch holiday, i will like to build on the foundations of my blog, setting the right theme and colour and design , while leaving the content up pile up along the way .. I know its a long way to go to make a decent amount through 1 blog .. so i am also at the same time looking into other areas of making money online at the same time ..

Yes, you are right, choose your niche to work on it since u are not full timer. Even the full timers also choose to work on 1-2 subjects.

Start from your area of interest ... is the good way to get started.

I am getting a domain name for 1 of my new site that i would like to build upon ... but i realize that other than .com, there are others like .org .name .biz and .info .. I would like to know if there are any disvantages for using .info coz its seems to be the cheapest of all. Does it affect future SEO ranking ?? Just wanted to know more ..

from my experience .com tend to get better placement in search engine compared to the others....other than that it is a matter of self preference.

if you ask me, i would go for .com in any domain i bought...

regarding .info, well yes it is the cheapest....i've seeing as low as 80cents. like i said it is a matter of preference, however in my point of view .info are suitable for sites which emphasize more on info site...obviously..

just keep in mind that domain names are the most crucial decision that u need to make in any site that you're building....if you need more time in deciding than take it...don't rush on it..

Let me tell you one of the different between human and machine - humans can think and choose emotinally but not machine. The reason I mention that, is becuase we have preference into selecting types of domain on .com rather then .net, .us, .biz, .info, .ws. but SE will not.

As far as I knew from the recently reading, the search engine will not differentiate between .com and other domains. This also same to SEO, it's depends on your keywords in your website, best still, if you can get an anchor keywords as your domain names, your site ranking will outperform better than other types domain names (which is not anchor keywords) in long terms.

e.g. Traval keywords
http : // www. travel. us is perform better than
http: // www.myself. com/travel or
http://www . guesswhat. com (no keywords on the domains)

You can go ahead to use any types of domains, I suggest you choose targetted keywords domain name but not choosing type of domains.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will be having a good time in this tutorial platform. People here are helpful. Steven, GK, Kavin, Bizolink and others....great people here.

Yup, to get a decent income in online business is not as easu as many spam out there claims you can become millionair by just spend 15 mins a day. There are B***S. You have to work very hard at the beginning and ask a lot of questions.

Me like you too just started a couple of months a go. And i get nothing so far beside some litter penny on Adsense but with determination i am sure we can get there atleast but not millionair as claimed. I have spent many late nites, read a lot of ebooks and spent quite a bit at the begining.

We have to just focus one area and don't get youself information overload. Never give up your present job now make sure you are there and before you go as full time. Participate in many forums and ask many unsure questions.....

Learn the basic and slowly move. One important thing is action. Ya, you have take action...
