One lost Sole

I am lost and cannot seem to find someone to answer my question. These forums get me all confused. I am surprised that I figured out how to Post a Thread. I am having trouble with my blog and don't even know where to start. I got a Fatal error trying to install the installer plugin and after doing what it says in the Easy Wordpress book, still not working. The moderator told me to got look it up somewhere but I don't know what he is talking about.
Can someone help me?

I hear what you're saying. I keep getting the fatal error message when I upload the Installer programme.

Can anyone suggest how to fix this?
