Import Content in to WP from SQL

I have a database of about 600 topics that I would like to import in to Wordpress could any one give me any pointers on how to do this ?

The database has the following fields

Categorie
Title
Post

I would want to try and import these but spread them out of the past year and then maybe even set some of them to be posted to the furture is this possible ?

Is this a new blog? If yes, I would suggest you try on the import function in your admin area.

WP v2.1+
Admin Area => Manage => Import

WP v2.0+
Admin Area => Import

Hi WordpressConsultant thank you for your fast reply no such luck it not a modern blog and as such I have never seen a import for it in any WP plugins :-(
