Default how to promote affiliate programs and make a killing

Affiliate progs to me are like money in my pocket.

if i have my marketing plan right, it takes very little effort.

Take the wordpress adsense system for example, i've been doing product blogging which has generated a lot of interest.

i've also created a bundle with Ewen Chia's affiliate marketing product.

and i've created an exclusive members only forum with content that may get you excited.
things along the lines of how to achieve a google PR5 faster than everyone else,
how to monitze on your PR ranking (most people have no clue and worst, do stuff that drops their ranking to a 4 or 3)
How to create a list that wants to keep buying stuff from you.

to be blunt, it's been a bloody fun exercise.

i get almost nothing from adsense, and i'd say 99% of my income comes from affiliate progs.

if you'd like to see my latest campaign, visit: http://ping.sg/read/Affiliate_Intern... eat_bonuses_

i know everyone's already got WAS, but if you get a copy of Ewen's affiliate prog from www.ultimateaffiliateweapon.com, you'll get a 3mth access to my insider forum.

The thing with affiliate programs and why so many people fail is that they believe it's much easier than what it is. There is more to know than what people think. For example, just joining an affiliate program and putting some links or banners on a site will not do much.

You need to optimize the banners / links into your sites content, maybe write a review of a product and then link to it, etc. Once that is done, it still is no good if your site has no traffic, so you then have to spend a lot of time on trying to get traffic to see your review, affiliate links, etc.

I definitely agree with Jim23. Signing up on easywordpress and purchasing Gobala's product is the very result of Aff Progs not being as profitable/easy as I had envisioned. Yes I've made great money (generating about 18k/month) with this method of advertising but I've also spent a great amount as well.

Here are my Pros and Cons List:
Pros:
- Fairly simple to startup
- Does not require a Landing Page or webpage of any sort
- A wide variety of offers available through numerous aff firms

Cons:
- Overhead costs for generating traffic
- Huge amount of competition for popular aff offers
- Need to spend money (sometimes a lot) to make money

Overall, Aff Progs are good, but I would highly recommend it for people with some online marketing experience under their belts or perhaps some "market testing" capital.

Hmmm. At first glance it seems like what the article mentions might be overwhelming or too much of a investment in time, but further thought made me realize that being from the "new school" of affiliate marketing and online of marketing, the simple plug n' chug method is much easier. Be that as it may, a little effort and time is MUCH cheaper and cost-effective than the style I'm currently using. I'll go ahead and give what your article mentioned a try and I'll update this thread with my results. THANKS!!!!

I would suggest for those who do not have the experience of doing affiliate programs, not to participate in too many programs at any one time. For a start, choose only a handful, maybe just two or three, so that you can manage properly. Too many affiliate programs may get you confused and you may not even remember which programs is for which and ended up having difficulty in keeping track of the performance of your marketing strategies. Once you have master the skills, then you may want to add on more programs.
