Default Beginner guide to Wordpress installation

Before install new wordpress in your domain, make sure you read this posting first: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress

Read the 5-minute installation tutorial and learn how to install by using cPanel fantastico option :

Wow, that was pretty comprehensive, Steven. Great job!

I think one should learn to install WordPress manually, even if you have fantastico.. it really helps you to learn about the software and it makes you more confident when you are installing plugins and themes

Yes, you are rights. By installing wordpress manually you can learn a lot about programming. But I guess a lot of peole give up on installation. That's why the fantastico is here to help.
