FireFox Problem

Hi e'body,

I am wondering if somebody can help me. I have downloaded the Firefox Web Browser as instructed in the WAS but wheneverI try to run it a page loading problem will come out. It says

The connection has timed out
The server at en-us.start.mozilla.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a fewmoments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Currently I am using IE6. how can I enable it the Firefox?

Hi Rozamah,

Are you using direct PC connection ? Why not your try again, I guess the traffic is a bit congested these few days. I also having slow connection problem. Probably this is the reason why you can't download ...

Thank you for responding. The truth is I have downloaded the Firefox almost 3 weeks ago since I bought the WAS. I have downloaded twice, one from the WAS and when I couldn't open the browser , I had uninstalled and reinstalled by downloading it from Mozilla. The same problem occur whenever I try to use the browser. So I guess it is not because of the slowdown but more on my computer setting. Do you have any idea? For your information, I am not tech savvy so I am worry that if I wrongly change my computer setting I may not able to view other files.

By the way, will IE6 be temporarily sufficient for me to start with WAS until I solve this problem? Or will I face difficulities in creating my webiste using WAS if I dont use Firefox since in the Ebook it says it is crucial to use Firefox?. I am afraid that if I dont start something soon I might lose my momentum .

Hi Steven,

Thank you for responding. For your information I have installed Firefox 3 weeks ago when I first read the WAS . But when I encounter the problem I had uninstalled and re installed by downloading from Mozilla. Therefore I guess it is not the slowdown that causing me the error page whenever I try to open the Firefox browser but rather the setting in my computer. Do you have any idea? For your information,, I am not a tech savvy person, I am afraid that if I wrongly change my setting it will cause me more difficulties when I want to view other files or programme.

By the way, can I use IE6 temporarily to start going with the WAS? I read the ebook and it says it is crucial to have Firefox. Will it interfere with the process of setting up my blog if I use IE6?I am afraid if I dont start doing it I will lose my momentum.

Ok, give me a shout whenever you or anybody else in this forum has a suggestion.
