Default Please review my blog !

Hi Everyone,

I dont know I am in the right thread or forum. I am not using wordpress either I am using one of easy wordpress product. I use other CMS which could transform into a blog style which is more flexible to myself instead of limited to only blog.

My site Bizolink - Link directory, Blog, Article, Games & Download - Home is still under construction and there is still some tune up need to be done and I have been adding adsense into my site and get around 30 to 50 visitors a day. My adsense is not much, I have read those book google cash about how to place effective adsense on your site and also several SEO books. Tested each of it and it seem not working as I thought. I think the challenge is my domain, it's not even a dictionary word, a big mistake but I find it challenging.

Please review my site and appreciate you could advise me ..... thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Your site look like a intermediate to advance level works... there is not much I can review and comments.. except one recommendation, add in the "email friends", "print this page", "rating" features into it.. it will look better in terms of viral effects.

By the way, are you a programmer or having programming background??

Hi bizo,

well luckily you come to this forum since i'm quite familiar with your CMS platform...which is Joomla. I have several sites setup with joomla....and yep this is a great platform to venture with...overall i think your site is great but i'm not surprise that you didn't earn much from adsense....i almost didn't see where is your adsense ads....

may i know what component or module you're using....there a few out there for adsense,chitika,amazon..text link, adbrite..ads...etc. which you can use and put your ads strategically....try checking with joomlaspan, they have some free module you can make use of...

~!cheers!~

Thanks Steven, appreciate your review, I think I have added feature of "email friends", "print this page", "rating" in the content part but not in the frontpage part.

Wow, great..nice to meet malaysian joomla member here. "i almost didn't see where is your adsense ads"? Is it? I have already placed 3 adsense ads on all important page. Ermm...thanks, I will revised my adsense placement.

You mean component for adsense? I dont use any, I integrate/duplicate module and publish it with adsense and also change it inside the template.
I think this is not a good way, because it will have no flexibility. Will try to search for alternative, thanks for recommending joomlaspan, I will try to explore it.

Just visited your blog, cool ... mind to share with me your joomla site?

Anyway, nice to meet you and thanks for your review.

yep, but if you're comfortable doing it that way, i'm sure it is more flexible in many ways compare to restrict with component or module usage. I see you have change ur adsense...well every site have its own place, for your site the adsense ads need to compete with ur other ads as well so it is a matter which ads you want to get more attention from the visitor.

Wow, just visited your joomla site, it's about HYIP, it's cool, so you are investing on HYIP yourself? I use to invest last time and quit due to stormpay fiasco.

I think I got my site up and running already http://www.millionringgithomepage.com, after 2 days of exploring and experiment wordpress, it was quite straight forward and easy to use compare to joomla. Joomla is far more better in term of interface and feature wise. Maybe it serve for different purpose. Still lot to learn, tag and ping, and much more.

Thanks, nice knowing you too. Will add your blog to my blogroll soon.

regards,
Kenneth

yeah...in terms of interface and feature, joomla have a lot more flexibility compare to wordpress. even their community is far superior compare to wordpress.whereas wordpress won in terms of simplicity....well both have their advantages and disadvantages...

at first looking at ur domain name, it thought it was something like the alex tew milliondollarhomepage...lol....anyway, looking good there...hope u enjoy the learning process...

best of luck..

KeVin
