Nice to meet you all. My marketing blog just got the top spot in google under my name. I quite happy about it. Now when someone asks me for a business card, all I have to say is "Oh, just search Google for 'Brian Wong', its on the top position!".

Don't you just love that? I can do the same with my name too. It's all about branding - I've read about it in several blogs. It's important to do the same when you leave a comment on someone else's blog too - it helps to build your profile. But then, you might already know that. Congratulations!

Yes, they're all mine. I've written less over the past 2 months as I've had a lot happening. I've just published a book and the launch was two nights ago here in Melbourne and was very successful. www.worth-more-than-rubies.com relates to that. And 2 weeks before the launch my husband and I were in Japan for a couple of weeks so prior to our trip I had to get the book proofing finished, and off to the publishers so it could be printed - they sent me one copy before I went away and the rest were waiting for me on my return. So then I had to finish the website so people could order the book online.

Somewhere amongst all that I need to get client work done and find time to blog again

Leaving comments on other blogs do help to put a link back to your site. The more link back, the higher ranking you will achive in SERP (Search Engine Result Page).

Yeah, targeting your name is quite easy, as your domain name is registered with your name. You can achieve it quite easy even you have a new domain name. Take for example on my new Steven Wong blog, I just registered recently without doing much optimisation, I can easily rank on the top 8 in SERP while my current small business blog marketing blog rank no. 4.

The next step is to achieve top rank on your targeted keywords. Work on it, I am sure you can do it.

P/S: A comment for your blog: I was trying to leave comments on your posting but it is not open for your blog post. Allow comments will increase your readership and eventually help you to spread the words to their friend about your blog.
