Hi all, Here's my new site about ginseng, its 1 week old and i only got 1 click so far i've nearly tagged all my posts to most of the social bookmarks and technorati as well. Seems to have problem getting traffic here, any suggestions to get more traffic? Also any suggestion to futher improve the site? Welcome all to give 2cents of advise ![]()

Hi Truey, For the initial stages, tagging may only bring search engine spiders, not real visitors to your site. Still, tagging Technorati will help you get indexed, and your site is already indexed: site:ginseng-herb.com - Google Search You can also look up other blogs on the topic, and start to share comments on their blogs: Google Blog Search: ginseng If you find a post that you like, blog ABOUT that post / author, and put in your own opinion for it. Then, do a trackback to their blog posts.

Thanks GK for your advice. From your experience, how long would it take (average) for real visitors to start kicks in?

nice template you have there.... ![]() for me the fastest way to get indexed by google is to have a Site Map. I have experienced you should get indexed just within 2 - 4 days after setting up everything. get a Sitemap and Site Map generator....register with google webmaster tools...and follow the step by step instruction to get your site verify by google. in terms of traffic, try to find post that took the most attention from visitor which is related to your blog topic theme. the best place to look is to go to social bookmark site.....well there is actually more to that but just concentrate in building quality content and be sure to update regularly. in times search engine will send bots regularly to check on your site and readers will surely be rushing in. gluck.

Ginseng blog seem to be a good niche market, overall your site look impressive for first impression, I think is the template as mentiond by Kevin. I am not sure did u notice that there is too much space left unused. I am accessing using resolution 1024x768. The right and left panel of the site is blank. Try to utilise your page blank area to make it more user friendly and give a thought to your visitor that your site is pack with ginseng information and browsing experience. I think your site by now should have been index by google, but it was NOT, strange, it was not even ranked in alexa. You gonna do something to it. Try to add meta name="keywords" content="your keyword here" meta name="description" content="you ginseng description here" meta name="robots" content="index, follow" hope this will be helpful to invite search engine bots, try to get some SEO component to load in to your wordpress. As kevin has mentioned, use google sitemap, http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemap. Hook up more on forum or site about traditional medicine, health forum or ginseng related site and get more back link. Hope this could help.
