Show more then 10 posts

Need advice guys,

My WP is setup to show 5 post on the main page.

The problem,

My search page and category pages also show only 5 post so I have to use the navigation buttons. On there pages i have changed the format to only show the post titles so saving space. Showing only 5 post is not that nice.

Can someone tell me how to manipulate the loop on the search page and categories pages to show 20 posts instead?
