Default New Affiliate Widget

I don't use the widget function. I use the theme editor / theme files for my side bar stuff ...

My question is what is the code to add the new affiliate widget in my theme files?

Thanks!
Brian

Errmm I dont think you can, it was designed as a widget to be used in the widgets function of WordPress. There's no copy-and-paste code otherwise.

I'm still quite new to this so perhaps my 'language' is off ... let me try this way to explain what I mean:

A few weeks ago, I found a plugin that I liked called 'Random Quote'. I downloaded the plugin and it does show under my "Available Widgets'. However, because I don't use widgets in that way, they offered the following code to put in my theme editor:
<?php quotescollection_display_randomquote() ?>

It looks to me like in my theme editor, any part of my sidebar that is a 'widget' is fond with some 'php' code. (I have no idea what this means or if this makes sense to you.)

So, my question is: Is there some sort of 'php' code that refers to the affiliate widget?

Hope that clarifies
Brian

I see, you mean to be able to put the codes into your blog post / page right?

That is some thing I'll work on in the future, however the current version only works in the sidebar. The entire formatting of it, especially since it's calling the images and other stuff directly from our site, would have some issues if it was inserted into a post / page.

Perhaps for future versions, I'd definitely think it would be much more effective if you can add that directly to content areas in your blog.

BTW we now have a section in the form for "Affiliate Help" so I'll be moving this thread there.
