Subscriber and autoresponder lists for blogs

Some bloggers grow their subscriber lists with doing a giveaway but I'm trying to work out how to do this. Currently I use Feedburner but it never notifies me of new subscribers and when I've checked it has an option to notify me of unsubscribes but not the other. All I can do is download a csv of the current subscribers.

I believe some use Aweber for their subscription list but that means doing a manual copy and paste to send out to the list. I use 1shoppingcart currently but I know it won't automatically pick up a blogfeed to send out to a list.

I've had a client ask me to type up instructions on how to best use his blog and it occurs to me I could actually produce this as a small ebook and give it away to entice new subscribers. And I would like to automate this system so I need something that will do the following:

1. Send subscribers blog posts as they are generated.
2. Notify me of new subscribers.
3. Send out an autoresponder with a link to the giveaway.

Number 3 could be generated by Outlook if I had number 2 working. Or I probably wouldn't need number 2 if the system could do number 3 for me.

Ultimately it would mean I could email this list at any time too, if I have other things happening.

Any suggestions?
