Default Adwords

Someone told me that you cannot directly promote your affiliate link through Google Adwords and that it is against their policy. Is this true?

Yes, you can't put up any adwords with your affiliate link. You must provide a landing page for your ad, in order to get approval.

It is highly recommended you put on a sales page with opt-in form to capture the name & email. Otherwise, you will need to depend on adwords to drive more traffic.

It is not the matter of whether you have adwords account or not.. It is the matter of how do you display your ads.

Even if you could use affiliate links which I am not sure if you can or not, the landing page score would not be that good meaning that you are likely to pay 3, 4, 5, 6 or even more times the amount on what you would have to pay per click if you used a landing page that was optimized for Adwords.

Wrong wrong wrong. You CAN use your affiliate link with Adwords. Granted it *may* hinder your QS but people having been doing it, people are still doing it, and people are still making tons of money with it. Matter of fact, I'm direct linking with one of my campaigns right now thats still profiting...
