Are you trying to paste straight into Wordpress? You can paste text but not images (at least I've not found you can). Save the image as a jpg into the web folder, and upload via ftp. Then locate the image at the url, i.e.
http://www.youdomain.com/image.jpg and click on the image link in your toolbar at Wordpress and enter the url reference for the image.
