Here's my blog : http://brianwong.com | Yeah, targeting your name is quite easy, as your domain name is registered with your name. You can achieve it quite easy even you have a new domain name. Take for example on my new Steven Wong blog, I just registered recently without doing much optimisation, I can easily rank on the top 8 in SERP while my current small business blog marketing blog rank no. 4.
The next step is to achieve top rank on your targeted keywords. Work on it, I am sure you can do it.
