Default Adsense block

Yesterday with a help of Adsense Delux I created first banner 468x60 as per e-book and inserted <!--adsense--> in right column. But without result. Today I checked banner again and inserted <!--adsense--> in left column with the same result. What is wrong?

Could you write the code here, the one that you're using to specify the block?

Also, did you already create a new blogk in the Adsense Deluxe configuration page?

As an alternative, if you're using the Adsense ready theme you can just insert the entire Adsense codes instead of going through Adsense Deluxe

Hi Sergey,

Appreciate if you could show your link to see what goes wrong. I think as Gobala has mentioned, you could use the theme provided feature.

I think your problem could be aligment, sometimes is not about the same code, is about where you paste it. Because the site is tend to best view on 800x600 (just assume), u gonna see does that fix to the same table of alignment within the given page width, else the banner would just shift down.

Hi Sergey,

Do you mean that you inserted the code and it does not show up? when you got your adsense approved? As I know, when adsense approve you, sometimes it won't show the ads in immediately, it take 2-3 days or maybe more days. Probably you will begin to see it. I have no idea why?

As you mentioned in the 1st post you put a 468x60 in the right column or left column? It will look weird. It seem that your adsense is working right now. 180x90 is best fit to the position now, also try use skywrapper for right or left column..but for the middle part, you could try use text link ads, the header can use leaderboard or banner.

But, your site just look weird, because your left column ads over shadow your content, if you need more space try use 1024x768, more than 55% net surfer is using this resolution, best practice is to use the most ppl use resolution to design a webpage. Ermm..to change it you gonna know css.

Also too many blank space not utilise. Try to look for a good theme, I think most ppl use this theme and face the same problem.

I think your keyword on the main page is not enough, that's why you won't see the ad display. while it come to your specific post, adsense can get your keyword and display the ad accordingly.

Also, I notice your tag url at the bottom of the post seems have error? Are you using any plugin to generate the tag or your key in manually?

Hi,

"keyword on the main page is not enough" What does it mean, how to correct?

Yes I did tags manually as per e-book:
<a href="http://www.Technoratti.com/tags/keyword/" rel="tag">keyword</a>
May be here I did a mistake I will check in the evening.

Ok... let's look at the source code in your blog.

When you go to your site, right click on your mouse and view source code, you will see this on the header:

< title > - Defeat overweight < /title >

< meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.0.4" / > < !- - leave this for stats -- >
<!-- leave this for stats -->Where else you go to my website and view the souce code, you will see this:

< title >Internet Online - Small Business Blog Marketing Explained< /title >

< meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" / >
< meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.0.4" / >
< meta name="robots" content="all" / >
< meta name="description" content="Small business, affiliate blog marketing how-to review" / >

To put in the description, login to your wp-admin area ==> Option ==> General Option ==> Fill in the Tagline coloum.

Obviously, many bloggers overlook on this. Be sure you spend time to fill in the tag line, make sure it is your anchor keywords/tags.

I did it from the very beginning. I chose another way.
I inserted Java script in header.
I saw the same story in Gobala blog. There is no adsense
ad in article when one searches the main blog name.
If articles is clicked by headline than address changes
and adsense ad appears.
Meanwhile I try to find simple theme with 1 or 2 side
columns. Gobala present theme is nice.
He did it himself or ordered?
