let me try this.. 1) i dun think you can cr8 additional blog with the same domain but as subdomain or subfolders...YES (eg. blog02.your-domain.com or your-domain.com/blog02).....just cr8 a folder and upload everything to that folder, cr8 another database...installation should be straight forward ![]() 2) link to an image? not sure which is which but below r some explanation i. if you want to link to an img just put in the code < img src="your-img link here" alt="img description here" > ii. if you want an image to link to other place when clicked, used < a href="your link">< img src="your-img link here" alt="img description here" >< /a> (remove the spaces for this to work) hopefully this is the answer... regards, KeVin

| HI GK and Kevin, Great and thanks for the prompt reply on my doubts. 1) Thanks for this. You mean i need to upload all the wordpress stuff again into this subfolder as what i have done for my 1st blog. And i have to create another database for this using the mysql function in the Cpanel. That means everytime i create another blog i have to upload the wordpress stuff in the new sub folder to make function. So to say that is redo the installation steps again. Please advice. Sorry to ask this cos i am not a very techky fellow. ![]() 2) Thanks for the code. What actually intend to do is like what you have done on your KC nair site. You link your picture to another site to look at your CV. So for me is i have a Wording i.e "About" in the sidebar and from here i need to link to a page or a directory like www.mydomain.com/about. Hope this will not confuse you guys. Again, thanks so much for the great info. cheers, ![]() |

Hi FlWong, 1) Yup, Imagine that your web hosting is a land (a folder or a directory), while wordpress is a house(all those wordpress file), while those plugin is the furniture(wordpress plugin). So, you build the 1st house with the occupied land, than you occupied another land for the 2nd one. Both need to have their own electricity and water supply (similar to database). Simple say, each time you need to redo everything to create a new blog, because the configuration is differ, cos your path is different, the domain is different. I think once you understand what is subdomain and domain, DNS, URL or IP Addresses, than you will know why. 2) You mean create a static page of your own? or create a new pages within wordpress, you can do that at manage tab>page. If you are creating a static page of your own, look around the sidebar file and edit or just use widget to put your href code to point to the html you wanna refer to. Do I make this clear, if not please reply, as is quite difficult to explain in word. |
