Here are some fresh new free WordPress themes, that have popped up around the blogosphere.
WPDesigner 7: Small Potato is renowned for making great themes and also releasing his own theme whenever he changes it. The newest release features a clean look with subtle design elements. Also there is a color switcher giving four color themes. A great theme and is highly configurable.
1Blog Theme: This is a theme that reminds me of the Facebook design by default, but this is extremely customizable and nearly everything can be changed from the options page. Also contains some great sharing features with on the fly emailing options.
Yoghourt: This unusually named theme is chocolate colored and features a wide and clean sidebar. Also has some elements of dark red which reminds of ars technica’s design. Additional features are a little calendar icon for the dates, large fonts and a fresh and interesting design.
Portrait Press: This is a gold themed clean design, with subtle gradients and is great for a personal weblog with support for photos on header from flickr. Also a beautiful header and a good consistent color scheme makes this a good theme.
