Media Projekt have come out with this great packages of widgets that consist a wide range of function or plugin. (Thanks to Tan Webmaster for pointing this out)
All widgets will rely on the King Widget framework itself and handles functions like admin-forms, remote version check, language files and a lot more. The only drawback in this is that sometimes you also need to update the framework files other than the widget update itself.
After all this is free, so a bit download and upload should be bearable.
Currently they are in the process developing the following widget
- King Tags Widget
- King Archieves Widget
- King Meta Plugin
- Content Widgets
