I can see it time and time again – people are getting spammed and find that the dream they bought into not so long ago was just another scam to get them to flash their credit cards and part with their hard earned cash.
You can visit any forum any time and all you see is that newcomers to the online world get ripped off. Unfortunately, this will never change because as long as there are “greenhorns” there will be scam artists that rip them off.
I wrote this post to hopefully help some of you avoid the pitfalls of these situations. There are certain things you can do to avoid major disappointment and a potential coronary from loosing all your money.
When you are browsing the Internet for online jobs or even a business opportunity there is so much that looks tempting. Promises of quick riches and being able to quit your much hated job will lure you into their fold before you can say “stop”. The people who advertise these schemes know how the human mind works (or not). They understand that we rather belief in a quick fix than having to work hard for our dreams to come true. So they use this information to their advantage when they advertise.
On the other end of the spectrum is the desperate human who needs money so much and so fast that he/she fails to note these alarm signals and before they know it, they are the next victim.
Desperation makes us act like idiots. It’s like our brains switch into a different frequency and we throw all caution into the wind.
To stop being abused by these mind sucking abusers over and over again, you can do several things:
- Stop falling for promises of easy and quick riches – they don’t exist. Being successful requires dedication, hard work, passion and working a plan until…
- If you have to pay upfront for a job, run before you loose all your money. Often these offers are affiliate programs where somebody (an affiliate) advertises a site where there are thousands of jobs to be found after paying for the information. Don’t pay! There are plenty of sites that offer the same information for free.
- Next time when you are tempted by yet another promise of easy money take a step back and analyze what is really going on here. What happened to all the other ebooks, tapes, CD’s and stuff you bought that promised the same? Were you applying what you have learned consistently back then, or did you pay for it and then forget? Most likely you already have the key to success in one of your existing ebooks anyway. You just have to apply the work.
- If an offer sounds too good to be true – it normally is!
- Be honest to yourself and stay realistic. Do you really think you can earn $10,000 /month within 3 month when your offline education took you 15 years to earn exactly the same!
- Cut up your credit card! If you find yourself buying into every new launch that promises and end to your misery, it is truly time to cut up your credit card for good.
All the above points are really common sense. But like I said, when we are desperate, common sense fails to exists and gives way to stupidity. You need to start rolling with something and stick with it, should you ever want to make a difference in your life.
Find your passion and stop believing all the hype that is fed to you everyday on the Internet.
