mbl-about-me-widget mbl-about-me-widget2 One of the few services I still actively use on a day-to-day basis is MyBlogLog, although for a very long time they seemed to be on the decline even after being bought over by Yahoo.

No new services, not even a GUI or design upgrade, which kept me wondering what use is Yahoo’s bank account if you’re not going to make use of it? Today I logged into MBL to find that they finally have something new, which they call an About Me Widget.

Basically, this is a new widget that you can add to your blog to display your MBL profile and all the sites you author in one place.

You can click on the image on the right for a larger view.

The benefits of having this widget is obvious – MBL will eventually get even more users as now they have more links pointing back to the MBL site for your profile and each of the individual communities. For you however, I think this will be useful if you want to cross promote all your blogs and build RSS readership.
