3 Plugins That Improve Your Blog Comments
A blog with great content but no comments on them is nothing but a loss. But you can ofcourse modify your WordPress’ blog Comment Section with these plugins and make it look more attractive and get more comments.
MyAvatar plugin shows the commentator’s MyBlogLog avatar behind the comment. This really makes people have a look at the comments made and also makes them excited to comment and have their avatar there.
SezWho is a great service which provides a plugin with which you can mod your comment section to a highly advance commenting place. Your comment section will get a avatar system, a rating system and a monitoring system too. It also makes it easily to share the posts on which a reader has made comments.
CommentLuv is really an amazing plugin which makes your comment section attractive plus also gets you more commentators. What this plugin does is it adds a line at the end of a comment with a link to the commentator’s latest blog post. This way the commentator also gets a free backlink to his blog.
These plugins are really cool and don’t even cause any high usage or anything like that on your blog. Plus they are also very easy to install.

Hi,
I used to have 20 plug ins in my wordpress blog after learning from one of the guides which I bought. Now I realize that too many plugin will hurt the overall performance of my wordpress blog. Therefore now I have further reduce my active plugins to 7 only. Only those important one are kept.

My only concern is comment spam. How can you control that? I have seen a lot of spammy stuff. What do you do to stem that tide of spam?
I disabled comments on my health blog because I was getting over 100 spam attempts per DAY to this blog! I don’t know how to enable my comments on a Wordpress blog and NOT have to deal with this jackass that keeps trying to spam my blog!
I have recently installed CommentLuv and i do think its a great way to “reward” commenter’s. Not everyone uses it, it doesn’t appear to increase spam - but with a spam guard that shouldn’t matter anyway. David
Hey Mike Serovey. Why don’t you try a plugin that I also use in my blog. It’s called Peter’s Custom Anti-Spam. It’s a plugin that made sure users type certain word (that you can customize) so all this Spam bots will go like “huh”?
Here’s the Link
Thank you. I’ll try these on my blog and see if I can improve my readership.
