A few things as your homework for the weekend

- Consider a new design for your website. If possible submit your site to design portal. Not only you can benefit the traffic but also build a community with it for the long term.
- Make friends with people within your niche group. participate in blog and forum from the same niche.
- Write regularly to articles directory. Use anchor text to help you rank well for a particular keyword in your article footer.
- Get a translator script or plugin for your site. Personally, I’ve use a paid one, but you can still get a few freely available plugin on the net.
- Be the first to write about “top ten……(something)” in your niche.
- Participate in group writing project. For a start be sure to keep checking on problogger.net
- Involve in community and create group for your specific niche.
- In MyBlogLog, keep track of blog and leave comments.
- Post to newsgroup.
- Write something controversial, although not necessary to bait the traffic but also to show how mature you’re within your niche group.
- Participate in Yahoo Answer and LinkedIn Answer. Show them that you’re the expert in your field.
- Not to forget off line ads. Be sure to include you site url in your business card, pamphlet or even flier and distribute it as often as possible. Some wacky idea is to put a windshield sticker on your car. I’ve seeing a lot of this nowadays.
- Be sure to inform Search Engine and Aggregators each time you update your blog.
- Squidoo lense is also another good source of traffic of use properly
- Leave trackback wherever possible.
- Browse around MyBlogLog to spread your presence.
