What Is Your Blog’s Main Source of Income?

One mistake most bloggers make is to think that the only way to make money is to be a better John Chow, or at least a “John Cow”. In truth, Adsense, text links and advertising is not the only way to make money blogging.

Take this poll, tell us what your blog’s main income source is, and see the overall results. I choose “Affiliate Programs”. Even though I do make money from selling my own products, affiliate income has recently become the number one earner for me.

Hi Gobala, from Australia.

You must have been reading my mind with this post, because about 10 mins before I read it, I had just finished recording over 1 hour’s worth of Camtasia videos, on the subject of the different ways one can monetize their blog! :)

My vote was for Own Products (Offline). I have made substantial amounts of money doing Google AdWords consulting for clients who have found me via my blog, read some of my posts & got in contact with me to discuss me managing their adwords project.

It just goes to show that you DON’T need to promote an affiliate product or use Adsense as the only way to earn money from a blog.

Anyway, I enjoy reading your posts and will drop in again soon. Keep up the good work.

Hey Eran,
I wanna see your video :) I have been looking for other ways to monitize my blog besides adsense etc. How can we see your presentation.

Thanks,
Frank

Hi Frank

Drop me an email via my blog and I should have the video online in the next 2-4 weeks. It’s actually going to be part of an upcoming product release I am working on at the moment, but I plan to put part of that video up on the launch site as a demo of the content.

Yes, there truly IS more than Adsense available to make money on a blog! :)

Eran Malloch.
