When I was using them I had a CTR of 0% on them. Switching to large banner ads, with the same offers being displayed, resulted in a 18% CTR. That's just another way of using it, and don't worry about people clicking it on somewhere else because the affiliate program only considers which banner (affiliate cookie) they clicked on LAST before making a purchase.
