This February, give your blog a complete make over and give New York Times a run for their money. We’re picking 2 lucky winners for a complete blog makeover with the Revolution Magazine theme worth $79.95. This theme will work best for sites related to music, lifestyle, or other mainstream topics, but logically it can work for any type of blogthat has a lot of categories and a lot of content.

This is an excellent way to brand your blog and make it look and feel like a big news site. The Revolution News theme has some really cool features such as:

  • Stunning, completely customized home page to get a “magazine” look and feel
  • Normal blog-style layout for individual pages
  • “Featured Articles” section in the left column to highlight certain categories
  • Summaries of all your categories on the front page
  • Featured video section where you can add in YouTube videos

This will be customized according to your site, but limited to the following:

  • We will only install it on ONE blog
  • We will install and modify the theme codes to match your site
  • We will modify the logo / header according to your site title
  • We will edit / remove the top banners and footer info
  • We will create separate files for Adsense / videos / banners so you can edit them yourself later

How to Enter The Giveaway

There are 2 ways to enter this giveaway, you can do one or both to increase your chances of winning. Two winners will be selected

  • Subscribe to our Feedburner email updates – We will select a random winner from the list of subscribers to our email updates. If you’re already subscribed to our regular RSS feed, you need to subscribe to the email updates as we cannot see who the pure RSS subscribers are
  • Join Our MyBlogLog Community – Simply join our community in MyBlogLog and we’ll select a random winner from the member list

Contest Rules

  • The theme we will install for you is for your own use only, and only on a single site / blog. If you want to install the theme on multiple sites I strongly suggest you read about Brian Gardner’s magazine style Wordpress themes and get yourself a proper multi-site license.
  • Theme will be implemented immediately if you’re selected as a winner. Therefore if you’re the winner but don’t have a blog yet, we will select another winner who does have an existing blog.
  • We will not provide hosting, domain name or tutorials for you, all we’ll do is implement the theme.
  • This will not apply to Blogspot blogs or Wordpress.com blogs ()
  • Winners that do not respond within 72 hours will be forfeited

Contest ends 28 February, and the winner will be announced here and featured on the monthly theme giveaway page for as long as the theme is actively used on the blog.

Wow! I’ve been wanting to implement the Revolution theme on my The Genre Traveler site (thegenretraveler.com) for awhile now. Its the travel magazine for science fiction, fantasy and horror fans and has been around since 2004. I updated it to a Wordpress site about a year or so ago. This would be the next step in its evolution. I really hope I win! ;-)

That’s my first time looking at such theme. Looks pleasing to the eyes and makes you wanna click every single links in there..

9 kelly January 31, 2008 at 12:30 am

Thank you Kay! I come from a 3D chat community where lots of things are made for our virtual world. So I got my inspiration from there. Only thing is….i hate wordpress codex – It isn’t truly WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get). I know I still have loads to improve! I forgot to add: Pls DO NOT click on the check-out button – I’m still testing it! :D

Wow, this is a fantastic theme that I want to grab for long time. Unfortunately it is for new subscribers. Too bad for me. :(

Anyway, that is a really cool theme, the first theme that make me confident wordpress blog is the CMS system I am going to use long and I can start telling people wordpress is no longer a BLOG anymore, it’s CMS (Content Management System).

I guess you guys would agree with me on this.

Regards,
Steven Wong

If you win the theme, I’ll have to spend 2 months editing it for your massive blog!

18 Kay Kastum January 31, 2008 at 4:46 am

Exactly!

19 Kay Kastum January 31, 2008 at 4:48 am

I’m more like a ‘lost’ fan. Can’t even remember that chick who the doctor was interested in.

20 Gobala Krishnan January 31, 2008 at 4:52 am

I figure this theme is good is you have an average of 2 posts a day in different categories, and some categories get posted to more than others.

21 kelly January 31, 2008 at 5:42 am

Revolution Theme? That’s great! Review from ‘themes playing ground’ proved it.. Nice idea by offering in free bucks :)

Anw, i have take a look to several magazine theme, and found that seems like the installation more difficult. Need adjusting category, etc.

Is Revolution Theme similar with that? I’m still a beginner i guessed…

Thanks before.

Ok I am signed up. I hope I get this one. I have been searching and searching for a new theme but nothing seems to catch my eye other than the Christmas one you put out. I love that one so much I wish I ran a Christmas blog and I would keep it up all year round. Oh well. I hope this one will work for me if I win.
