What WordPress Users Are Ranting About
Every now and then it helps to rant and clear the air with things that are close to our heart and bug us. If you are a WordPress user you can rant about things that bother you until the cows come home on your blog if you wish to do so. The great thing about blogs is that we can write about our feelings, our experiences and business.
But if we rant about things on our blog, only a small portion of the Internet will see your rant. And all though your readers will most likely agree with you, nothing much will change.
If you rant on WordPress DOT.org however, the guys might actually take note of your issues and improve them.
But then, maybe that is wishful thinking. While surfing the site today I came across the submission page for WordPress rants. I have to say, that I never saw this site previously. I found it worth mentioning in case you have a serious chicken to pluck.
Let’s look at some of the rants that have been submitted and see whether we recognize something.

As you can see, the complaints range from slow loading to the editor being a waste of space. My personal favourite is actually the editor too. I’m so glad Gobala got me onto the Windows Live Writer months ago, otherwise I’d still fart around with all the image aligning and spacing.
Have you got issues with WordPress at all? If so, what is your biggest one?

You know I enjoy reading your articles but your interlinking method just kills the joy of it all. I mean how many times do I have see that you’ve linked WordPress to one of your past articles.
At least point out the “real” link to whatever it is you are talking about. Seriously, it’s OK to a point but this is just too much.
Just my thoughts.
@ Hyder: sorry to see you are thinking that way. In the end it comes down to interlinking and SEO purposes and we all do it. But having said that, it is good to get feedback, even negative one and I will take this on board.
Thanks, I really do appreciate it.
Even I had observed it recently, but that’s okay Hyder. This blog is all about wordpress, and some day you will search on Google for “wordpress”, and you will see easywordpress at top.
i agree with the first rant. actually what currently happens is that the exact root directory of your domain is being displayed when something goes wrong with the database which i think could lead to having your entire account hacked or something worse.
Hi, I am having problems with the Wordpress Directory. I have tried a few times to get it to add my site URL to the directory. NOTHING happens when I press the submit button. I even tried doing it with the paid listing checked off and still nothing happened. It looks like Wordpress has abandoned the directory.
If so this is a shame because it would help build a little sense of community if we could look up and visit other bloggers on the Wordpress family.

haha! I hope to “stop farting” soon too! Thanks for the tip!
My main rant .. amazement is more like it … is that so many bloggers are afraid to tell it like it is with 2.5. Imean the supposed “upgrade” starts breaking the users installation right at the login … how crude and stupidly untested is that. Nice to know there is already a plug-in out there that fixes what Mulweg and company broke … be sure to download the new plug-in and loa dit first so you cna log in to your own blog.
(you cna get backin after the upgrade with no plugin but you have to go bllog after blog …some of us have more than one you know … and re-enter the exact same data. You also have to update every instance of Windows Live Writer too, because your logins automatically stop working with WLW too … well Mulwegg taught us who is boss … like changing the scree colors and making you go into the CSS to set them back … and I hope he enjoys it, because WordPress is dead to me … what an exercise in “fixing” things that were not broke. Sad.
